Day 296

Day 296: My mother felt very strongly about cinnamon bears. Whenever we visited the candy counter at the old Sears store, she would ask the clerk to “squish” one to see if they were fresh. If the bear “squished” then she would buy some.

If the bear did not “squish” then she waved off the clerk with a thank you, because life is too short for eating stale cinnamon bears.
